In a nutshell we love our kids and we think Skipton, North Yorkshire, is a great place to bring them up. We are volunteer mums who want to share what there is to do with little ones in the area and get the information out there that we wish we'd had in the early days. We'd also love to get lots of top tips from other mums, dads, grandparents, aunties, uncles, carers – anyone with an interest in keeping the kids entertained! – about what’s best to do, while we’re at it.
Whether you’re looking for ways to get advice during pregnancy, baby classes, toddler groups, things to do, sources of support or to get in touch with other parents and carers, then we hope MooBaaKids will be your first port of call. While there’s information already out there in various forms, we wanted to put it all in one place so it’s quick, easy and enjoyable for you to find just what it is you’re looking for. Oh, and it’s all completely free of charge!
Each week we’ll add exciting new things to do or not-to-be missed events and hopefully give you some inspiration and ideas in our blog. We hope that you’ll let us know if there’s anything you think we’ve missed or anything you want to share with us. Skipton town centre is a starting point for the focus of the site but we know that people are happy to travel from Skipton for interesting events and activities and that people travel from other places in the surrounding area to Skipton too. There are no fixed criteria for distance – we’ve just used what we would reasonably consider travelling as a guide.
We hope MooBaaKids will be a new way for parents to get in touch with each other through the activities listed or via our facebook page, and really inspire us all to get out there and make the most of what Skipton and this fantastic part of the world has to offer.
